For most of the time, Golfers try to avoid water.
But today’s modern world technology has taken this to a whole new expect.
Yes! I am talking about the floating 18-hole Golf Course which is to be built in Maldives.
This is the World’s very first, 18-hole, floating Golf Course.
Course with a series of floating platforms each containing 2-3 holes will be built by world-renowned floating technology company, Dutch Docklands.
Dutch Docklands is the global leader in floating developments, concepts and infrastructure.
The new Golf Course is expected to have Hotels surrounded by underwater tunnels.
Dutch Docklands call the project a “scar-less development” which will have a zero carbon footprint on the Maldives ecosystem.
Energy will be generated through floating solar blanket fields. Developers will also employ sustainable techniques to desalinate and cool water.
The $500 million floating golf course project will be completed by 2015 and is managed by Troon Golf.
The projected is expected to bring a income through ecological tourism to the Maldives.
